Lucky is a short, charming, vaudevillian-style comedy about a young woman called Stella who, after a brief shop online, stumbles across a magical amulet that blesses her with the luck she so desperately craves, but does so at the hilarious expense of those around her. Characters: Stella: Female, aged early 20s. Neighbour: Any gender, any age. Mugging Victim: Male, aged 30s to 40s. Mugger 1: Male, aged 20s to 30s. Mugger 2: Male, aged 20s to 30s. Man on Date: Male, aged 20s to 30s. Woman on Date: Female, aged 20s to 30s. Restaurant Host: Male, aged 40s to 50s Cyclist: Any gender (Ideally skilled to a basic degree in stunts) Elderly Female Neighbour Driver: Any gender, any age above 16. Cat: Any age, any gender, black fur. Extras: A variety of ages and genders Although the project is unpaid, we will be covering transport and food costs for our actors. Further to this, while the short itself contains minimal dialogue, if you are invited for an in-person audition we would love to take you through some basic acting exercises to test your comedic improvisation skills, skills in the art of slapstick comedy and your ability to take direction.
