We are currently conducting a study exploring the relationship between filmmaking and AI, and are looking for participants. The purpose of the study is to understand how filmmakers develop their creative work, how they interact with tools and technologies and how they feel about the growing role of AI in the creative industries. The study aims to explore current creative workflows within filmmaking and examine the potential for AI to be used as part of those processes. We are not looking for details of specific projects or collaborations; we are keen to discuss the ways of creating that exist within film currently, and how practitioners feel in response to possible technological change in the film industry. Participation will involve completing a creative activity kit over a two week period, totalling 2 hours. The activities include taking pictures, watching short videos and writing reflections about your practice and the filmmaking industry more broadly. You will then be invited to a 1 hour follow up interview to discuss your experience and responses to the activities. No prior experience with AI is required - we are interested in hearing from people with a range of experiences and viewpoints, at varying points of their filmmaking career. Time commitment: 3 hours Compensation: £110 If you are interested in participating, please fill out the form below: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScoMrxS4gbwh6n4a7HmPE6XQ5ZBxdG7navMUZTo9ZfbJwsOKg/viewform?usp=dialog
